Two Days We Should Not Worry

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone forever. The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance; Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born. This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day.It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break dow...

THE FORMULA FOR FAILURE AND SUCCESS

THE FORMULA FOR FAILURE AND SUCCESS by Jim Rohn America's Foremost Business Philosopher (Excerpted from the book The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle) Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. We do not fail overnight. Failure is the inevitable result of an accumulation of poor thinking and poor choices. To put it more simply, failure is nothing more than a few errors in judgment repeated every day. Now why would someone make an error in judgment and then be so foolish as to repeat it every day? The answer is because he or she does not think that it matters. On their own, our daily acts do not seem that important. A minor oversight, a poor decision, or a wasted hour generally doesn't result in an instant and measurable impact. More often than not, we escape from any immediate consequences of our deeds. If we have not bothered to read a single book in the past ninety days, this lack of discipline does not seem to have any immediate impact on our lives. And since nothi...

Attitude Is Everything

The process of human change begins within us. We all have tremendous potential. We all desire good results from our efforts. Most of us are willing to work hard and to pay the price that success and happiness demand. Each of us has the ability to put our unique human potential into action and to acquire a desired result. But the one thing that determines the level ofour potential, that produces the intensity of our activity, and predicts the quality of the result we receive is our attitude. Attitude determines how much of the future we are allowed to see. It decides the size of our dreams and influences our determination when we are faced with new challenges. No other person on earth has dominion over our attitude. People can affect our attitude by teaching us poor thinking habits or unintentionally misinforming us or providing us with negative sources of influence, but no one can control our attitude unless we voluntarily surrender that control. No one else "makes us angry."...

Multiple Skills for the 21st Century

I believe that in the 21st Century it is so important to have multiple skills. But what I also find is that if you are already in sales, networkmarketing or have an entrepreneurial business (or plan to in the future); you can gain the needed skills for the future while you create your resources now. Here's my short list for on the job training, so that you can learn while you earn. 1) Sales I began my journey with sales, which of course dynamically changed my lifeback at age 25. The first year I multiplied my income by five. I was raised in farm country. I knew how to milk cows, but it didn't pay well. But sales altered the course of my life, learning to present a valid product in the marketplace, talk about its virtues and get somebody to say "yes." And then give them good service. 2) Recruiting Then came recruiting, how to expand my business, build an organization. We have all heard the question, is it better to have one person selling a $1000 or have 100 people sel...

The Reality of Fear

The Reality of Fear by Lisa Jimenez, M.Ed. One of the biggest barriers that all people have to overcome on their journey of success is fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of change. Fear of responsibility and commitment. And the big one - Fear of success. It is fear (and all of its cousins like worry, anxiety, depressionand self-doubt) that will turn your dreams into a chilling nightmare. This nightmare can turn into something so daunting that it causes you to loosehope. It doesn't have to be this way. Fear was never intended to put you in a state of paralysis. The reality of fear is that fear is human. Fear is part of growing and it isn't going away. It is part of every person's life and exists in every success story. In all the research I did for my book, "Conquer Fear!" I heard story after story of successful people who experienced fear. The names would change. The circumstances were different. But the fear was the same -and very real. What I noticed...
